  1. I tried to explain this phenomenon to my grandfather once. That once you create a character, I mean really create and commit to a character we are no longer telling our story, but theirs. Seriously, now logically if Ben is a good guy but Sarah is too jaded to see it, the author can’t rush their love story. It wouldn’t be natural, it’d be disasterous, and it’d be unrealistic to the character making the character less relatable. He said I was crazy.
